MapleKit FAQ
Common questions about our free calculators, privacy, accuracy, and how to get help. If you do not see your question, visit our Contact page.
What is MapleKit?
MapleKit is a free website with more than 20 online calculators for health, finance, everyday tasks, and school or work. You can use BMI, loan, mortgage, calorie, unit converter, and many other tools without creating an account. All calculations run in your browser so your inputs stay on your device.
Is MapleKit really free?
Yes. Every calculator is free to use. There are no paywalls or premium tiers for the tools themselves. We may show ads to support the site, but you never pay to use the calculators.
Do I need to sign up or log in?
No. We do not require an email, password, or any account. You open a calculator page, enter your numbers, and see results immediately.
How does MapleKit protect my privacy?
Your calculation inputs and results are processed in your browser. We do not send those numbers to our servers or store them in a database tied to you. Optional analytics or ads may collect anonymous usage data (like page views) as described in our Privacy Policy, but not the values you type into the calculators.
Are the calculators accurate?
We use standard formulas that are widely accepted—for example, the usual BMI formula, Mifflin-St Jeor for BMR estimates, and standard amortization for loans. Results are as accurate as the formula and the numbers you enter. They are still estimates: real health and finance situations involve factors our tools do not cover. See our Accuracy and limitations page for detail.
Should I use MapleKit for medical or financial advice?
No. Our tools are for education and planning only. For health questions, diet changes, or treatment decisions, talk to a doctor or qualified health professional. For large loans, taxes, or investments, talk to a financial advisor, lender, or tax professional. We explain this on our Disclaimer and on many calculator pages.
Which calculator should I use for weight or diet?
BMI gives a quick weight–height category. BMR estimates calories at rest; TDEE adds your activity level. A calorie calculator helps plan deficit or surplus. Macro calculator splits protein, carbs, and fat. If you are unsure, read our guide on how to choose the right calculator.
Which calculator should I use for a loan or mortgage?
Use the general loan calculator for many personal or auto loans. Use the EMI calculator if you think in monthly EMI. Use the mortgage calculator for home loans with principal and interest. The refinance calculator helps compare an old mortgage to a new one. Each page explains what inputs mean.
Can I use MapleKit on my phone?
Yes. The site is designed to work on phones, tablets, and desktops. Layouts adjust so you can use the same tools on smaller screens.
How do I report a bug or suggest an improvement?
We welcome feedback. Use the Contact page or email us at maplekit1@hotmail.com. Describe the calculator, what you entered, and what went wrong or what you would like added. We read genuine messages and fix errors when we can.
Why does MapleKit have articles and guides, not only calculators?
We want visitors to understand when to use each tool, how to read results, and when to see a professional. Guides like “How to choose the right calculator” and “Understanding your results” are part of that. They are original content written for MapleKit users, not filler.
Does MapleKit work offline?
You need an internet connection to load the site. Once a page is loaded, the math often runs in your browser without sending your inputs to us. If you close the tab or refresh, you may need to load the page again.
